Kasin WH/WR series welded chains are heavy-duty welded steel mill chains designed for the most demanding conveying applications. Unlike standard roller chains, these chains feature a welded bent-plate construction: two cranked link plates are circumferentially welded to a sleeve (without rollers), forming a robust and wear-resistant chain link.
The series comes in two grades to match different load and wear requirements. WR series chains have heat-treated pins for wear resistance, offering a cost-effective solution for moderate-duty applications. WH series chains have all components fully heat-treated, delivering higher tensile strength, fatigue resistance, and service life for truly extreme-duty service. Kasin also offer WHX variants with additionally induction-hardened pins for maximum wear resistance.
These chains are engineered for low-speed, heavy-load, high-impact, and abrasive environments. Typical applications include forestry and lumber processing, grain handling, sugar mills, pulp and paper production, and wastewater treatment. Standard constructions include riveted or cottered connecting pins, with pitches ranging from 66.27 mm (WR78) up to 152.4 mm or larger, and average tensile strengths reaching up to 102,000 lbs for the heaviest WH models.
Each chain must be matched to the specific drive sprocket, chain pull, and operating environment.
