Pusher dogs are the functional attachments that turn a drop forged rivetless chain into a working conveyor. Mounted at intervals along the chain, each dog engages and pushes the load—whether a trolley, carrier, or product—along the track. Without them, the chain moves but nothing gets conveyed.
Pusher dogs are typically drop-forged from alloy steel, then heat-treated and induction-hardened at the contact surfaces for wear resistance. They are available in weld-on and bolt-on configurations, and in a range of profiles to match different carrier designs and indexing requirements.
Each dog must match the specific chain number (X348, X458, X678, etc.) and the system's load, speed, and spacing requirements. For custom profiles and load calculations, contact the conveyor manufacturer directly.
