Kasin
Kasin ETC System is our versatile conveyor system designed to satisfy the requirements of manufacturing and finishing operations where light loads are handled. There are no exposed moving parts and is our best selling overhead conveyor system and is designed to accommodate many needs because of its reliability, flexibility and ease of installation.
The greatest benefit of the Kasin ETC- system is that the chain is enclosed. The chain can move freely in horizontal and vertical directions within minimal space. Each chain link pitch has horizontal and vertical wheels that have ball bearings for carrying the load with ease. This assists in reducing travel resistance and increasing the life expectancy of the chain.
This ensures longer life for important conveyor components that may pass through different types of finishing processes. This avoids the corrosion, damage and wear and tear found in traditional systems. It is popular to the site requirements and provides functional options in material handling, transportation and storage.
Kasin ETC System can be designed and installed according to the transportation loads are used to categorize the chains:
Light duty (10~20kg) – ETC-5000 Enclosed Track Conveyor Chains
Medium duty (30~50kg) – ETC-5000 Plus Enclosed Track Conveyor Chains
Heavy duty (50~70kg) –ETC-7000 Enclosed Track Conveyor Chains
ETC-5000 Enclosed Track Conveyor Chains
Traveling horizontally, this system can be freely maneuvered to the smallest of radiuses, the minimum being 400mm. The structure has horizontal rollers in each chain, which assists in reducing the resistance during movement.
ETC-5000 Plus Enclosed Track Conveyor Chains
It is currently one of the most used specifications in enclosed track conveyor chains, with the characteristics of a smaller chain pitch.
ETC-5000 Enclosed Track Conveyor Chains
This system is designed with two-wheels moving the chain horizontally and two-wheels moving the chain vertically. The advantage of this design is that the chain can withstand the tension evenly as the chain maneuvers on the curvature of any track.
Conveyor Chain
Kasin ETC Conveyor Chain with symmetrical chain pin is designed to provide maximum flexibility in all directions with a true universal joint at every pitch.
Horizontal Curved Track/HCT
There are a variety of horizontal curves in varying radiuses and angles available for customers to utilize. For horizontal curves, we recommend a combination of horizontal curves and horizontal wheels to meet the requirements of each factory’s layout.
Vertical Curved Track/VCT
Compound Vertical curve with one side removed illustrates how the vertical chain wheels contact the top of the lower curve and the bottom of the upper curve
Drive Unit
In general, the drive unit of any conveyor system should be placed on the line where the maximum tension is experienced. Normally, we placed a drive unit in the working line within 100-120 meters of a take-up device.
Take-Up Unit
There are two options for this adjustment device; the first being the counter-weight type and the second is the spring-operated tension adjustment type. The installation function of the adjustment device is to respond to the elongation of the chain length caused by thermal expansion and contraction of the chain when the temperature varies during operation.

Upward & Downward Vertical Curves
Various types of Hangers / Pendants: Y-type Hanger, Swivel Cross Hanger, and U-type Hanger
Oil Cup
Water Jet Nozzles
Automatic Lubricators
Flanges (Steel, Rubber, Teflon)
Enclosed track conveyor is comprised of a continuous chain running inside a tubular track. A drive unit grabs and moves the chain, which a take-up unit keeps tensioned to prevent bunching. Variable speed controls start and stop the entire line, which moves synchronously; loads travel in unison and are always the same distance apart.
Enclosed track illustration
Loads are attached to the chain via pendants that protrude from a narrow slot at the bottom of the track. Each pendant can support up to 50 pounds, and a load bar hung from two pendants has a capacity of 100 pounds.
The entire conveyor system may be suspended from ceiling attachments, the arms of structural steel floor supports, or a combination of both.
KASIN Enclosed Track Advantages:
Overhead conveyor can move awkwardly shaped items that don't sit well on conveyor beds. Pacline supplies special attachments that carry loads without damaging them.
Enclosed track's small curve radius and low profile help you incorporate turns, inclines, and declines into your conveyor system to utilize seemingly unusable overhead areas and tight quarters.
Bolt-together modular components allow fast installation and easy modifications.
A single energy-efficient drive unit can move hundreds of feet of chain, even through elevation changes and around curves, resulting in very low operation costs.
The enclosed tubular track shields the chain from contaminants and extends its life. It also helps protect workers from moving parts.
Common Applications:
Empty Carton & Tote Handling
Instead of using labor to move around empty containers, automate transport to deliver them where they're needed. This frees up workers to focus on processes that add value to your operation. By moving carton handling overhead, you also reduce traffic congestion at floor level and reclaim precious square footage. Overhead conveyor is also great for hauling used boxes and other trash; use special load carriers to dump refuse into a designated disposal area.

Assembly Lines
Overhead conveyors are an economical way to move products through an assembly line. They can handle items that don't sit well on a conveyor bed and present them at an ergonomic height. They also provide better access to each side of the product, as well as variable speed that can be adjusted for the rate of production. Optional "indexing" controls move the conveyor line a pre-set distance before stopping to allow loading, assembly work, or unloading.

Storage
Sometimes workstations have different rates of production, and there has to be a way to store work-in-progress until the next station is ready for it. Overhead conveyor can move products off the floor, completely out of the way, then deliver them when and where they're needed. Add a special interface to convert the conveyor into an AS/RS (automated storage and retrieval system), which helps track individual loads for later access.

Paint & Finishing Lines
Overhead conveyor is ideal for a number of finishing processes where handling by workers can be dangerous or damage the product. Enclosed track withstands the corrosive environment of chemical wash areas and the heat of curing ovens. Its ability to handle steep declines and inclines helps minimize the required size of dip tanks. Pacline can supply custom carriers that rotate the product for maximum coverage in paint lines.

Many other applications are possible, such as garment handling or creative displays for retail and entertainment.

The advantages of the enclosed track when compared to the I-beam overhead conveyors are:
lower cross section height
finger pinch points are reduced with internally running conveyor chain
prevents contamination of the conveyor chain and the product below
smaller radii on horizontal and vertical bends
some designs allow an inverted “slot up” position with minimal or no modifications
