Product Description

Sprockets, shafts, and rails are the core structural components that keep a forged scraper chain conveyor running. The sprocket engages the chain to transmit drive force, while the shaft transfers torque from the reducer or gearbox to the sprocket. The rail provides the track surface that guides the chain and scraper assembly through the conveyor trough.

Sprockets are typically forged or machined from alloy steel, then heat-treated and induction-hardened at the teeth for wear resistance. Proper sprocket-chain matching is essential—incorrect pitch or tooth count causes jumping, uneven wear, and premature failure.

Shafts are precision-machined from carbon or alloy steel (such as 42CrMo), with keyed or splined profiles for secure torque transfer. They are designed to withstand high radial and torsional loads in continuous heavy-duty service.

Rails are the wear surfaces that support and guide the chain through the conveying path. They must be resistant to abrasion from the scraper flights and the bulk material being conveyed.

All components must match the specific chain series (P142, P200, P102, P260, YD series, etc.) and the system's load, speed, and layout requirements.
